Disney 100 Years of Wonder

Disney has brought to life many beloved characters which have touched hearts across generations, bringing adventures and wonders, laughter, crying and unforgettable songs. Next year will mark 100 years since the magic of Disney has been introduced to the world. To commemorate the past century together, Disney has prepared a global scale celebration and you can look forward to a number of events and brand new titles as well as new products in the upcoming year. It's going to be the biggest celebration yet!

Let the celebration begin!

It all starts on 27th January 2023 in Disneyland Park in California, United States with a very first Mickey-themed ride Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride through Mickey's Toontown, which will get a makeover. Experience sensational visual effects and catchy songs, this is an adventure for guests of all ages and you can enjoy a premiere of newest short original story "Perfect Picnic".

Followed by a brand new firework and projection show Wondrous Journeys featuring a new song called "It's Wondorous", putting on a spectacular display across the night sky. Continuing the nighttime adventure will be storytelling about how it all began 100 years ago, a moving and inspiring story about the ripple effect of a single action represented by a drop of water, starring well known and loved as well as new characters. The World of Colour legendary nighttime storytelling will also bring a new original song "Start A Wave".

Disney will be touring Europe with the Hollywood Sound Orchestra. The Disney100: The Concert starts in Germany and will take place in UK between 31st May and 8th June - visit London, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Glasgow or Cardiff to enjoy a fantastic multimedia experience. You will hear songs from films such as Encanto, Beauty and the Beast or Mary Popins along with tunes from Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

Admire rarely seen original props, costumes, artworks and artifacts and get a glimps of Disney's behind the scenes creation at the Disney100: The Exhibition, across ten galleries with interactive installations.

The Wonder of Play is a global campaign introducing imaginative play into everyday moments where Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and National Geographic help parents and guardians in creating shared play experiences with children.

Disney 100 Merchandise

To mark the 100 years milestone, Mickey and Minnie will be dressed into new platinum outfits. And you can look forward to new merchandise collections with Mickey's ear hat and Minnie's headband amongst them! Some products are already available to buy. You can find a beautiful collector's set of 12 Little Golden Books including classic Disney stories as well as Pixar, , Marvel and Lucas film, exlusively reprinted for the 100th anniversary. A must have collection that belongs to every reader's library!
